Camp Counselor in Training Program (Summer 2025)
We are so excited to be able to offer a Counselor in Training Program (CIT) for budding artist-leaders for our 2025 Summer Creative Camps. To be eligible for this program, CITs must be 13-16 years old and have a passion for arts education and a desire to grow their leadership (and art) skills in a supportive, inclusive environment.
We are excited to support young leaders this summer as they develop their individual voices, explore various leadership styles, and cultivate the necessary skills to become successful individuals and potentially future paid camp counselors.
Counselors in Training will participate in a required training day in May 2025. More information will be provided in early April. Acceptance into the CIT program is contingent on the participant’s ability to attend required training in May 2025.
So What do CITs Do?
Serve as a positive role model for young childrenHelp nurture creativity and inspire young minds
Support camp counselors
Bring energy and excitement to the day
Keep an eye out for the needs of the campers
Help to create a supportive and inclusive camp community
What do CITs Learn?
Leadership skills, such as building a growth mindset, positive camper management, goal setting, and effective communication methods
Critical life skills such as creative problem solving, cooperation, teamwork, empathy, integrity, confidence, and flexible thinking
How to work with children in an arts environment
How to support the development of an inclusive and supportive camp community
About Our Youth Camps
Say it Kids! Creative Camp is an interdisciplinary K-8 arts camp where KIDS get a say in where the exploration goes. Each week is crafted around a theme, and our skilled local arts educators and counselors lead students in a balanced day of creative exploration, problem solving, and team collaboration that is sure to satisfy the tinkerer, wonderer, and explorer in EVERY child.
Additional Details:
Age Requirement: 13-16 years old (must be 13 by August 31)
Cost: $199/week (CITs are eligible for multi-camp discounts using the code SAVECAMP10 at checkout)
Participants in the CIT program are also eligible for scholarships. Scholarship information will be posted in early February 2025.
